SL Legends finished second in the league stage with 20 points, only behind India Legends on net run rate. South Africa Legends finished third with 16 points.
Chinthaka Jayasinghe 47 (25) and Upul Tharanga 39 (41) were involved in an unbroken partnership of 70 runs.
South Africa were all out for 125 in their 20 overs. Sri Lanka scored 129 in 17.2 overs to scamper home for victory.
