It has been revealed that the detainee who was arrested while fleeing from the Welikanda - Gallella Corona Medical Center on December 31st had traveled to several areas by buses.

The 52-year-old man was arrested in Arachchikattuwa - Anavilundawa area about a week after fleeing. Police have also arrested a person who had helped him to hide.


It has been revealed that he had traveled to Kurunegala, Narammala, Kuliyapitiya, Welipenna and Chilaw areas by buses.

Four persons who were with him at the Gallella Medical Center had escaped and one was found earlier in the Madampe area in Chilaw.

Further operations are underway to find the remaining three.
