So far 39 patients infected with COVID-19 have been identified from the Katunayake Free Trade Zone, with the 22 new cases reported yesterday (12).
 
Meanwhile, the police has requested the relevant authorities working in the government and private sector institutions to update their employee details within the next three days.
 

According to the Secretary of the Free Trade Zone Producers' Association Dhammika Fernando who spoke to the Hiru News team, the manufacturing activities in the factories at the Katunayake Free Trade Zone are being carried out with the participation of workers from other areas where police curfew was not imposed.
 
So far 45 COVID-19 patients have been reported from Katunayake - Seeduwa Raddolugama and Adiambalama areas which belong to the Seeduwa Medical Officer of Health Division.
 
Among the infected identified yesterday (12) by the Seeduwa Medical Officer of Health Division is a second-grade teacher who taught at a school in the Adiambalama area.
 
While, the PCR tests of the students and their associates in the school were carried out yesterday (12), the relevant reports are set to be released today (13).
