Deputy Minister, HMM Haris filed a complaint with the CID today requesting the arrest of the operation director of Anti Corruption Brigade, Namal Kumara.

Namal Kumara created media headlines after exposing a conspiracy to murder the president and the former defense secretary.

Namal Kumara also revealed recently about a person called Thushara Peries who allegedly sent money to initiate communal clashes.

Namal Kumara released another telephone conversation and that described a plan to launch attacks in Batticaloa including one on a meeting presided by a Muslim politician.

Meanwhile, it is reported that the office of the former DIG, TID Nalaka de Silva has been sealed.

The same sources stated that two laptops used by DIG Silva have been taken into CID custody.
