During this New Year season, we could hear about various Avurudu celebrations which took place Island wide.
As one such unique celebration, we heard about a New Year festival held in Rehabilitation Hospital in Jayanthipura.
This event had been organized by the Physiotherapy Unit of the hospital together with the hospital staff for the bliss of disabled patients who receive treatments staying at the hospital.
Both the patients and the staff have taken part in Avurudu events, according to the Physiotherapist, Chathura Haridra Dhanapala’s statement to Hiru Gossip.
Speaking further he said that various events are organized monthly for the betterment of patients both mentally and physically.
