India has come up with a fresh bill to tackle excess spending on weddings.
The bill will limit the number of guest and dishes served in a bid to avoid waste. In addition to this a taxation will be imposed on the newlyweds if they spend over Rs. 500,000 (Indian).
Reports say that the Indian government intend to tax 10 per cent of the total expenditure and fund weddings of brides from poorer families.
